Sonic came back with Cathferna about five minutes later she leaped off of Sonic's back and ran over to Rouge. Knuckles held Rouge up right until Cathferna motioned him to let go since she had a hold of her. "Alright you two behind those trees!" Cathferna yelled commanding them. Knuckles and Sonic did as they were told both knew better than to agure with Cathferna when she was helping someone. Once they were a safe distance Cathferna layed Rouge down a went to work.

"Sonic." Knuckles began drying his eyes and regaing his voice. "Yeah?" Sonic asked looking at Knuckles with an understanding look. "Thanks if you hadn't come up here I don't even want to think about what would have happend." Knuckles replied not even looking at Sonic. "No problem what happend anyway I wouldn't think that you would take Rouge in." Sonic asked very curieuse about the echdina.

"I really don't want to say to much she ran into me yesterday and she couldn't get up she was bruised up and bleeding she said she was fine but I didn't believe her so I picked her up and took her here." Knuckles addmited leaveing out the part about her secret past. "But- I feel like this was my fault I didn't bandage her up she might be sick because of me." Knuckles began crying once more. "Knuckles this isn't your fault if anything you did the right thing by helping Rouge besides I am sure Rouge likes you to." Sonic smirked a little trying to cheer Knuckles up.

"Wait how do you know about that?" Knuckles asked suddenly very confused "Hahhahaha Knuckles I am in love myself its not that hard to tell." Sonic assured him. Knuckles looked at him for a moment then smiled. 'You know sonic useualy knows what he's talking about mabey I really am in love with Rouge.' Knuckles thought to himself but soon snaping himself back to realalitie. "So do you think Rouge will be okay?" Knuckles asked still unsure of the answer.

"Are you kidding shes saved people before I am sure she can do it agian." Sonic replied with a smerk. Knuckles smiled agian now feeling much better about the whole thing when all of a sudden Cathferna came toward them. "How is she?" Knuckles asked desperetly. "Well thankfully the poiosion is mild enough that she should be able to throw it off herself as long as you keep her calm and comfortable as long as you do that she should have a full recovery I bandaged her wounds for you so there is no chance of her getting an infection from open wounds." Cathferna replied smileing at Knuckles.

"Thank god don't worry I will take really good care of her." Knuckles stated very relieved that Rouge would be okay. "I am sure you will." Cathferna replied smileing. "You should go and be with her I am sure she will appearceinte it." Sonic stated pointing towards Rouge. Knuckles blushed and nodded nervusly and started walking toward Rouge who was still lieing down but soon smiled when she saw Knuckles looking down at her and smileing. "Hey-y Rouge." Knuckles stuterd nervusely. "Hey Knuckles." Rouge smiled weackly. The sun was setting it was so beautiful. 'If only he would lean down and kiss me.' Rouge thought to herself as the sunset slowly disappeared Knuckles stayed in the postion he was in just the two of them stareing at each other saying nothing but what they were saying in their eyes.
